Coolest shirts

We will be going home to Manila in less than two months. I am filled with joy and excitement.

The last time we were in Manila, it was almost a year ago. It was a mixture of happy and sad memories. I am hoping an praying this coming reunion will be full of fun and laughter.

In a year's time, so many things have changed also. I have three nieces now! I am really getting old! The latest addition to our family came late last January. Such a cutie. Well, all of them are!

So anyway, I was window shopping for possible gifts for my three beautiful nieces, but instead of finding one, I found shirts for my son. LOL!

Look at these cute big brother shirts starting from $10. What a steal! What a deal! Right?

I love the white and blue combination. And I love a white shirt on my son.

Blue! My son's favorite color.

Same print above but red shirt. I love the combination of red and green. My son will definitely look even cuter in this! Hahaha! Pardon the mom talking.

I only have one child, but he is a big brother to my nieces. He's the oldest among them cuties. So the print is just perfect for him.

Oppss, gotta go and shop again for my nieces..

I LOVE the last two shoes by Alexander McQueen and Charlotte Olympia. They are actually almost the same in style. Both with wing like design at the back. So gorgeous!

I wish I could wear these super high heels though. But I am sure I would topple over. LOL! And I am not sure if the heels can support my weight. Hahaha! I'd have to use OxyElite Pro first before trying any of these little things. LOL!

Seriously, I am loving white shoes now. I do admit they will never be everyday shoes but they are definitely sexy!

If I have to wear heels as high as these, I'd wear white and wear it on my wedding renewal vow.

Rubber Bands, so pretty

Lookie what I found! Animal rubberbands from thisnext.com! Aren't they super cute?

My son would definitely love this.

Gone are the days when office supplies are boring. I remember I only had a simple kind of ball point pen when I was growing up. Now, there are probably thousands of different types, shapes and kinds of pen in the market. It's overwhelming.

It's good to have colorful and pretty choices. But at the end of the day, it's the one that works matter.

Still, I can't say not to cuties. LOL! I will check if this rubber bands are available here.

What fun!

When I was growing up, Easter Egg Hunting was not part of the Lenten Season for us. I never knew about it until I moved to the city.

Lenten week for us meant going to the church, fasting and just being quiet. It was time to reflect. Yup, even as kids.

Last Sunday, we went to Raffles Hotel Le Royal to have an Easter Sunday Brunch. We particularly chose that hotel because they had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. We were there last year. We joined the egg hunt too and it was so much fun, we wanted to join again this year.

Last year, we did not win any prize. But last Sunday was different. We were ready for the egg hunt. And we won first prize!!!

I meant, my son won first prize. LOL!

I really had a great time with the egg hunting. They say, you'll never miss something which does not exist before. But they're wrong. I missed not having egg hunting when I was growing up. LOL!

I saw in my son's eyes how excited and happy he was when he won first prize. This is what he got, a big white chocolate egg!

Other kids, even though they did not win, also received kids personalized easter baskets from the hotel.

It was a fun afternoon. Kids and adults alike had a great time.

I hope to be able to join this activity again next year.

Saturday 9: Sex as a Weapon

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: Sex as a Weapon

1. Have you or a significant other ever used sex as a weapon?
++ No.

2. Tell us about the worst date you ever went on.
++ When I was in college. It was a "blind" date. I "met" him online and we decided to meet up in person. I had to invent a way to excuse myself.

3. If you were a god/goddess who would you be?
++ Goddess of love?

4. What crime from history fascinates you the most?
++ Nothing, really.

5. Give us one random, but candid fact about you.
++ I love bags.

6. Who or what makes you laugh until you're weak?
++ No one or nothing specific. It's random.

7. What is the most exciting adventure you’ve ever been part of?
++ Every travel we make is an exciting adventure for me.

8. Among the people you know, who would you choose to be able to read all your thoughts?
++ My husband, I guess.

9. How old were you when you realized that other people's families live totally differently from yours?
++ Probably 10 years old.

Shopping for Sunglasses

I am shopping for a new sunglasses. I want dark and oversized ones. The kind that covers my big face.

After my son broke two of my sunglasses, I never bought designer sunglasses anymore. It's not worth it.

From then on, I just buy generic ones worth $3-10. LOL!

My son is now almost 5yo. He knows and understand he cannot play with my things anymore. So I thought, it's time I buy something nice again. It's almost Mother's day anyway. A gift for myself. Hahahaha!!!

I checked neimanmarcus.com for choices. Here are my tops picks. I can only afford one so I am having a hard time choosing what to buy.

Tory Burch $165

Prada $290

Diane von Furstenberg $165

Jee Vice $185

Dior $325

Tory Burch $175

Which one do you like best?

Zara: Woman Lookbook April

I meant to post this as soon as I saw it in Zara's facebook. But somehow life takes over and I just remembered it now.

I guess it's all about color blocking. I love the first and last picture. I wish I could carry it though.

Bought some items in HK

Wow, my last post has been almost two weeks ago already! I thought I made a post before we left for Hongkong and Macau. Tsk. I am getting forgetful these days.

Anyway, we're back! It was a whirlwind trip. It was fun and exciting. Tiring too.

I never meant to do any shopping but when you're in Hongkong, I guess shopping is as natural as eating. LOL!

I bought a couple of items in Muji. I also bought a white Adidas watch. I wanted to go and have a look at custom plantation shutters but did not know where to go. I also looked for Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm by Clinique but I couldn't find it in Galleria. So I said to myself, I'd just look for it in the airport.

Unfortunately we did not have enough time to go shopping at the airport. We only had time to eat, clear immigration and go to the boarding lounge.

Oh well. Probably it was for the best. LOL!

Share a Thrift Hunt: Black Jacket

Thrift Hunting Meme

I missed last week's entry again. So I am making up for it by posting my entry this week so very early. LOL!

I got this (a jacket? a honcho?) last Monday near my son's school. I was looking for a jacket and I found this. I don't know what it is called. It's a little bit flared on the sleeves and a bit short. I think it only reach up to my navel.

I got it for $1. I know the seller expected me to haggle but I did not. I think $1 is already cheap for this. I bought it right away.

I already washed it and tried it on. It's perfect! You will see it soon on my FB pictures. LOL! It will debut pretty soon.

Chubby is beautiful

Meet Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm by Clinique.

I saw this on InStyle March's issue. We were in KL then and I made a mental note to check out the Beauty Products at Pavillion but being the forgetful person that I am, it totally slipped my mind.

I don't wear lipstick. I only use lip balm with a hint of colour. Now this Chubby Sticky by Clinique is perfect for me. It's loaded with "do-gooders like mango and shea butters" and it gives colour to the lips.

I so want one.

I'm travelling next week and I will definitely look this up in the airport. I hope I get lucky. I won't forget because I have written it down in my iPhone already.

I love this coat!

A friend of a friend is getting married. And my friend is going to be a bridesmaid. She's been given a free reign on how to design her own gown by the bride. She's ecstatic and wants my help. Good luck to her. Hahaha!!!

So being a dutiful friend that I am, I googled bridesmaid dresses and was overwhelmed with the many designs. I gave her a few of my favorites.

I hope she can choose what's best suited for her.

I am also having a few dilemna of my own. I saw a very nice coat the other day at Mango store here in Phnom Penh. Problem is it's a little bit too tight on my arms. Arrrgg. I wanted to buy it as it was the only one left. Question is, can I trust myself to go into diet and make my arms toned at the end of 2 weeks? Nahhh.

But I really really love it! Here's a picture I got from Mango's website.

The blue coat, what do you think? It's not just a want, I also need this as we are travelling to a colder weather in two week's time. Hahaha, justifying my shopping.

I hope it's still available by Monday. I have made up my mind. I will buy it, despite, inspite and against any reason. LOL!
