Xbox and Kids

Our Wii is more than two years old but it is only now that it is being used by my boys. I don't know why they weren't being explored much before.

Now, they play everyday! It is nice that it's being used but sometimes I get a little jealous because they spend so much more time now playing and even talking about it.

My 5-year old even wants another gaming console for his birthday next month! He said it would be "awesome" if gets xbox for a present on his birthday!

My son wants one after he saw an xbox 360 controller in a friend's house and he got curious with it. He told me he played xbox with his friend and it was "awesome".

If I buy him the xbox, I am pretty sure the boys won't have time for me anymore.

My husband and I were just talking about gun safety earlier. I told him I saw someone with lots of bullets as his belt yesterday. Apparently hubby saw him too and apparently he was a security guard of someone important.

I don't know, but seeing a civilian-wearing guard with lots of bullets gives me the creeps. With a lot of things going on around us, the very last thing I want to see are those bullets.

If I have my way, nobody should own any armory or anything like that. And if they already have, it should be put in a safe where nobody could access them.

I really think ordinary citizen should not be allowed to carry guns or pistols. License should be revoked or not issued at all.

With Retina Display

Hubby is considering buying the new Macbook Pro with retina display.

While the new macbook sounds so good, I objected to hubby's plan. He just bought his macbook over a year ago and it is still working perfectly.

It slowed a bit when he upgraded to OSX lion. He thought he would be reformatting hard drive but all he needed to do was to downgrade to its original osx.

After he did that everything was fine and it's fast again.

I don't know why he's thinking of buying the new macbook. He hardly uses his macbook anyway. He only uses it to sync his iPhone and iPad. And that's it. Well, sometimes he uses it to surf online.

I think hubby's addicted to anything Apple. Every time a new item comes out, he's tempted to purchase one.

Hmm..in the meantime, I am waiting for the release of the iPhone 5. LOL!

Tea Convert

I used to be a coffee drinker. Well, I still drink coffee once a day but I am more of a tea drinker now. I drink it like it's water. Maybe even more now after I shifted drinking green tea to oolong tea.

Oolong tea has a milder taste compared to green tea so it is easier to gulp big amounts without feeling like you're drinking grass. LOL!

My oolong tea are all loose. I don't brew big amounts because I like my drink to be warm all the time. What I do is put a teaspoonful of loose tea in my mug and pour hot water. Once I finish the first mug, I just pour another hot water.

What I don't like though is sometimes I get to "eat" the loose tea because I don't have the infuser or the filter! Hubby told me to buy one ever since but I was just hard headed. I thought I could live without it. But now that I drink tea like a fish, I should really buy an infuser.

So I am now browsing over the net and I am looking for a nice tea infuser or a filter. My husband said, while I am at it, I should also look for prestige medical uniform for her cousin. Okay, but I told him I will do it later. Teehee.

Split-Toe Ballerina

Have you seen this shoes? It is a split-toe ballerina from Maison Martin Margiela. To be honest, it is my first time to have seen a split-toe kind of shoes. LOL!

I have seen the equivalent in socks but never in shoes. Well, it just goes to show how low my fashion IQ is.

It is available at Neiman Marcus for $595 (pre-order). Hmm..I am not sure I would shell that much of money though. I couldn't make up my mind if it's my type or not. Hahaha!

Or probably it's the price that's a big hindrance for me. If I just have the structured settlements like my friend had, I might consider buying the shoes. But then again, I could buy a "normal" ballerina shoes for a quarter of that price.

My Loot from Mango Sale

I received a text message from Mango store yesterday that all their items are on sale. Finally! I have been waiting for their July sale!

I know from experience that they go on sale twice a year - January and July.

So off I went excitedly to the store after lunch. I brought along my 5 year old son and before entering the store he mumbled, "I am sure there are a lot of girls in there!" He was right. LOL!

After an hour or so, I emerged from the store with this loot.

2 dresses, 2 tank tops, 1 blouse, 1 skinny pants, and 1 blazer

I was pretty happy with what I got because they were what I really wanted to buy before the sale. I posted a Mango blazer earlier in this blog and I got it cheaper than the original price! Patience is really virtue. LOL!

Original price $119.90 and I got it for about $70. Hahaha! I don't remember the exact price but it was definitely below $100. So I am pretty happy about it because I have something to wear for our Tokyo trip. Yay!

I am going back to Mango later today because I want to buy a pair of pants. I was in a hurry yesterday because my companion was bored and wanted to go home. So today, I'll be going there alone.
