Satchels!

I found this in one of Bagaholicboy.com's post in FB. I followed his link and wow! Eye candy galore. Presenting leather Satchels from Cambridge Satchel.

It's beautiful, stylish and it looks sturdy too, right? They have different colors to choose from. There's black, brown, yellow, purple, pink, and red among others.

They also have something called Batchel. A Batchel is merely a satchel with the addition of a top handle, to make it easier to move it around.

You can have it embossed with your name too.

Here are ways to wear your Satchel/Batchel.

They also have different sizes to choose from. There's 11", 13", 14" and 15". A 15" Batchel is worth 85 pounds. Affordable, right?

These can be ordered online. I am planning to buy one or maybe two. It's perfect for travelling. Actually, it's perfect for everyday use.

But which color to buy? Hmmm...Now, that is a big problem!

Phnom Penh to KL for a lot less

My last post was about Air Asia's "Something Big" promo. It started last May 18 and tomorrow is the last day.

I checked Air Asia's website last May 18 and tried to check their deals but my! The trafic was bad! I kind of expected it already.

I tried again on the 19th. I got in. I got a good deal from Phnom Penh to KL for only $189 round trip ticket for three people. A steal! But I couldn't book.

But since I don't easily get defeated and I am really a persistent little bugger. LOL! I tried again on the 20th. I got in. And this time I was able to book a ticket at a lesser price than the one mentioned above.

Want to guess how much?

I got it for only $129! That's a round trip ticket from Phnom Penh to KL for three people with baggage allowances. Wow!

The regular fare usually amounts to around $800 or even up to $1000 for three people. And I got it only for a fraction.

The only catch is that travel time is not anytime soon. It's for February next year!

But hey, you only have to plan early and hope everything falls into your plan and voila! A vacation for a lot less!

I miss KL and I am excited to visit and relieve memories.

Something Big

If you're like me, I am sure airlines especially the budget airlines are on your favorite list.

I like to be updated with the current promos because I usually get a good deal. Today, while checking Air Asia online. I found this teaser on their front page.

Wow! I am excited. I have already signed up anticipating great deals. If this is your kind of thing, go on and sign up too. We could be in for a great surprise!

Peace and Quiet

I have been raving this resort to my friends in FB since last night. And rightly so. Staying at Knai Bang Chatt resort was a good decision even if it's a bit pricey at $150/night. The rest of the resort/hotels in this area only cost between $20 - $50.

But KBC is worth it. It only has 11 rooms, meaning it's not crowded. There were times I felt we were the only guests there.

Here are the pictures.

If the road going to Kep improves within the year, I will probably head back to this place. Peace and quiet is guaranteed. It's the perfect getaway from the city.

Kundalini Yoga

Have you heard of Kundalini Yoga? I have to admit, I didn't know there are several types of yoga out there. I thought all yogas are the same.

I used to attend a yoga class in Maldives before. We did it in the open field every morning. I liked it. After moving here in Cambodia, I searched for a yoga class and found several classes. The Kundalini Yoga class stood out. So I signed up.

At first, I found no difference between my old yoga class and the kundalini yoga class. It all seemed the same to me. After a couple of classes, I noticed the difference. It's not all about the poses, it also focuses on the breathing and there are several meditations included.

Here's detailed description from wikipedia:

"Kundalini yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual discipline built around the physical and meditative techniques found in the teachings of Raja yoga, Shakti yoga, Bhakti yoga, tantra, Kriya yoga, Laya yoga, Nada yoga and the principles and sutras of Patanjali. In its simplest dilution, it describes a set of yoga exercises (kriyas) and mental practices (meditations) which are designed to awaken ones consciousness to the universal nature of the soul and ones spirituality. Kundalini yoga is sometimes called the yoga of awareness because it "awakens" the kundalini which is the unlimited potential that already exists within every human being.

Kundalini Yoga has been documented as a system of exercises and meditations and claims to provide extensive benefits for personal growth, health and improving mental and physical well-being, including asthma, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, pain, stress-related diseases, healing and rehabilitating addictive behavior, and treating mental disorders."

I have been attending for almost three months now and I could say that I love it. If there is one in your place, try it. If you're here in Phnom Penh, check out the Kundalini Yoga House. Here's the address.

Hope to see you there!

Needs and Supply

I found this cool online store way back last year. I was in a fashion mag online and saw their link. I am glad I clicked their link. They have cool clothes and accessories. I still have to purchase an item from them but if custom duties and taxes were not a problem here in Cambodia, I would have bought a long time ago.

Here are my picks from needsupply.com

Cool, aren't they? Whenever I need an inspiration or simply a feast for my eyes, I check their website. I would love to buy one item from them soon. Wouldn't you?

The essence of Kep

I love hotels! I guess that explains why I chose hotel administration for my course when I was in college. Unfortunately I am not working anymore. But that doesn't mean my love for hotels has vanished.

When budget permits, I always stay in 5 star or boutique hotels. I just love big beds and comfy sheets and pillows.

Anyway, while looking for a place to stay at Kep, Cambodia I came across this very nice resort. It's called Knai Bang Chatt.

It's a seaside resort and it invites you to freedom, happiness and peace of mind. I love it! It's just what I need right now. A very quiet and relaxing place.

The rate does not come cheap though. At least for me. LOL! Low season is from $150 and high season goes as high as $350 excluding service charge.

But if I get the quiet and the relaxation I need, I guess it's worth a try. I will post a review if I get to spend a night or two next week.

Fight Fat!

I am a lot of wannabe things. But close to my heart is being a wannabe health buff. LOL! I read anything health related I see on yahoo or msn. Self.com and shape.com are on my favorite list. I constantly read health updates from both sites.

Today on Self.com I read about the 8 foods that combat fat. I was happy to find out that the foods on the list are the food I have no problem eating.

1) Almonds

2) Berries

3) Cinnamon

4) Mustard

5) Orange

6) Soybeans

7) Sweet Potato

8) Swiss Cheese

I love and often eat sweet potato, orange and almonds. The rest of the food I just have to find ways to incorporate in diet.

Welcome!!!

I am a certified net addict, eventhough I don't want to admit it. LOL!

I have a couple of personal blogs already but I want to have a site where I can post all things lovely and interesting. My personal blogs are kinda boring. LOL!

Mostly I will be posting about shopping finds. But expect to read a gamut of interesting topics from travels, health and fitness, celebrities, food and diet, and more!

Happy reading!
