Lackluster?

Did you guys watch the Emmy's? I've got so many things on my hand and watching TV was the last thing on my mind.

Anyway, I was browsing for the ladies' dresses and they say Katie Holmes' look at the Emmy's was lackluster?

This is what she wore - a blue shoulder-baring Calvin Klein.

I know I might be biased when it comes to Katie Holmes but I don't think her red carpet look was lackluster. Yes, it's simple and clean but it looks elegant. She looks absolutely gorgeous.

Well, that's just me. I love her look!

Miss Angola is Miss Universe 2011

Miss Leila Lopes from Angola has been crowned the new Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil yesterday.

Leila Lopes was a crowd favorite during the pageant. It's no surprise. She's beautiful and she looks confident.

However, I was rooting for a different contestant - Miss Philippines. But of course!

Miss Shamcey Supsup from Philippines was 3rd runner up. I thought she deserved better than 3rd runner up. From where I was watching, it looked like Miss Angola and Miss Philippines were the front runners. So I was disappointed with the result.

Nevertheless, I am proud of Miss Supsup for representing our country well. I wonder though, did the runners up receive some kind of trophies. Or did they get tiaras?

A GPS Camera, perfect for our travels

I was thinking, I should buy a new camera for our upcoming travels. Hubby has an SLR and I have a point and shoot digital camera. But I heard there's a camera with a GPS. A camera and a GPS in one? I think it's perfect!

Saw this from Yahoo News. Naturally, I clicked the link. I am fan. LOL!

Personally, I love it! A bangle and a clutch in one. Cool!

Buy me some lipstick

Yup, I just bought a new lipstick after more than five years. You read that right. I haven't worn any lipstick for that long. Probably even longer.

I have never been the lipstick girl or make up girl for that matter. I am content with a lip gloss that has some tinge of color.

But last week, I finally bought a lipstick. I bought it from The Faceshop.

I bought mine in pale brown/pink. I don't know the right color name. Nothing shocking of course. LOL! Just something that would give color to my lips and at the same time moisturize my lips.

Happy to say, I love it. I don't wear it everyday though because I still forget I have a lipstick. LOL!

But I am sure I will get a hang of it pretty soon.

Let's see if I get converted into a make up lady.

Perfect gift

Have you ever received a gourmet gift basket? I haven't. Well, I have received a gift basket before but it wasn't gourmet. LOL!

I want to buy a gift for my husband's officemate's wife. We're invited to the party this weekend and I think a gourmet gift basket is just perfect.

Before I go check the local groceries here, I have checked gourmet gift baskets online first.

And my, what beautiful choices they have! I so want one, or maybe two for myself. LOL!

I hope I would find something similar here in the supermarkets. I think gift baskets are the perfect gift.
