Tea Convert

I used to be a coffee drinker. Well, I still drink coffee once a day but I am more of a tea drinker now. I drink it like it's water. Maybe even more now after I shifted drinking green tea to oolong tea.

Oolong tea has a milder taste compared to green tea so it is easier to gulp big amounts without feeling like you're drinking grass. LOL!

My oolong tea are all loose. I don't brew big amounts because I like my drink to be warm all the time. What I do is put a teaspoonful of loose tea in my mug and pour hot water. Once I finish the first mug, I just pour another hot water.

What I don't like though is sometimes I get to "eat" the loose tea because I don't have the infuser or the filter! Hubby told me to buy one ever since but I was just hard headed. I thought I could live without it. But now that I drink tea like a fish, I should really buy an infuser.

So I am now browsing over the net and I am looking for a nice tea infuser or a filter. My husband said, while I am at it, I should also look for prestige medical uniform for her cousin. Okay, but I told him I will do it later. Teehee.

Here are the tea infusers I liked on the internet:

Heart-shaped tea infuser. Isn't this so cute?

Tea mug with infuser. I love the color!

For purple lovers, here's one for you.

Robot tea infuser. I am tempted to buy this but I know my son will only play with it.

Split-Toe Ballerina

Have you seen this shoes? It is a split-toe ballerina from Maison Martin Margiela. To be honest, it is my first time to have seen a split-toe kind of shoes. LOL!

I have seen the equivalent in socks but never in shoes. Well, it just goes to show how low my fashion IQ is.

It is available at Neiman Marcus for $595 (pre-order). Hmm..I am not sure I would shell that much of money though. I couldn't make up my mind if it's my type or not. Hahaha!

Or probably it's the price that's a big hindrance for me. If I just have the structured settlements like my friend had, I might consider buying the shoes. But then again, I could buy a "normal" ballerina shoes for a quarter of that price.

Do you like it?

Gold and Statement Necklaces

I was actually looking for 10k gold chains for my necklace project but I got stuck looking at these fab necklaces at Neiman Marcus online.

Check out these pieces! I so want one for myself. Actually two....or all of them. LOL! All photos and prices are from Neiman Marcus.

Herve Van Der Straeten Gold Multi-Stone Square-Station Necklace $1,755

Eddie Borgo Tinsel Collar Necklace $950

Herve Van Der Straeten Collar Twine Necklace $1,800

Paige Novick Multi-Strand Coin Necklace $625

Which one is your pick? It's hard to choose, isn't it? If I were to buy one of them, it'd be a difficult decision too.

Get That Holiday Feeling

In this cash strapped time we are all in, you may find that this year you have been unable to afford a fancy holiday. However, it is possible still to get that holiday feeling, simply by buying a few new outfits and giving your partner a chance to take you out to inexpensive places that neither of you have been to.

A new wardrobe is something we typically indulge in before we go on a holiday, and even though you aren’t going on holiday, you should still attempt to purchase a new set of summer clothes.

When shopping for your new clothes, try to pick out things you would not normally chose. For example, if you are still going to be working during the summer, you could say goodbye to the formal greys and whites and opt for something more bright and summery, like the summer to the right below.

You may choose to select a dress based on the styles of another country. A more ethnic pattern can make you feel a lot closer to your desired location.

The dress to the left has an incredibly Asian pattern to it, and the colours will vastly improve your summery attitude. It would be a perfect dress to wear to a wedding.

Buying a maxi dress can be a good way to achieve the summery feeling too, as they are quintessentially summery.

The eye catching dress to the right is again brightly coloured, which will help you to feel summery, and it is made of a material that is light and breezy. The white crochet style detailing focuses the eyes towards the waist, creating a flattering figure for the wearer.

The last thing you should consider is purchasing a brand new evening dress.

Asking your partner to take you somewhere romantic that you wouldn’t usually go to can help you feel like you are on holiday, even if you are not.

The evening dress to the left is perfect for such a purpose, and it is versatile, so would be suited to many events that you may have in the future.

Festival Fashion

Festival season is just around the corner, and 7 for All Mankind will have you prepped up and ready to rock with their cool and casual denim pieces. These timeless denim roll up shorts are the ideal choice, with comfortable 98% cotton and 2% elastane material and pale blue whisk wash, creating a fresh summer vibe with a sexy rock ‘n’ roll twist. To finish your festival-chic look, these shorts would look fantastic supplemented with a cool lettered tee in pastel or a cute printed summer blouse. Complete with summer sandals or espadrilles, or a pair of rock ‘n’ roll black boots.

If you’re in search of something a little more girly, then Paige always hit the nail on the head with their range of cute summer designs. These drawstring mini shorts by Paige Premium Denim, made from 100% lyacell, are cool, casual and comfortable, so much so you won’t ever want to take them off. The pale pink adds a delicate essence of femininity, while the slim fit is flattering to your legs and hips. What you team these shorts with depends on your skin tone. If you have a tanned complexion, lighter colours will accentuate your summer glow, so opt for white, cream and pink tees and blouses. However, if you have a paler skin tone, try going for something with a little more colour. Wearing all pale colours will result in you looking washed out, so aim for bold and daring colours to complete your fresh and dazzling summer look.

Zoe Karssen is all about the creation of simple designs with a cool, rock ‘n’ roll edge. Therefore, they are exactly what you should be wearing at this year’s summer festivals. This Valley of the Dolls tee is fresh, fun and loose fitting with a long length and short cut sleeves. Not only do you want to be looking cool at a festival, you want to be feeling cool as well, and wearing a tee which looks great but is harsh and uncomfortable to wear is certainly not cool. However, made from 50% cotton and 50% modal, the material of this tee is soft and kind to your skin, so you can look and feel great while you’re having fun. Finish the look with a pair of frayed slim fit shorts, and high top trainers or summer sandals.
