I have two mission this Monday. To find the perfect replacement for my old and trusty slingback thong sandal and to read about atv winches.
My old slingback thong sandal has seen better days and I think it's time for it to retire. Before it does, I want a replacement. Something between color brown and gold and of course something that doesn't hurt the wallet.
I window shopped at NeimanMarcus.com for some inspiration. I saw some very nice sandals but they're over my budget. I will probably just buy when I visit Manila on July.
But for now, here are my fave picks at the store. All perfect for the summer.
Tory Burch Logo-Stud Thong Sandal $125.00
Pedro Garcia Suede Thong Sandal $360.00
Kate Spade Hula Ornament Thong$225.00
Diane von Furstenberg Kaiti Metallic Slingback Thong Sandal $195.00
Chie Mihara Slingback Flat Thong Sandal $345.00
What's your pick?

Katie Holmes, so chic
It's a lazy Saturday today. I am browsing photos over omg.yahoo.com. Yup, my guilty pleasure.
I saw this photo of Katie Holmes and I can't just help but gosh over how effortlessly chic she is in this photo.
She's wearing Stella McCartney blazer and pants and adorable, polka dotted Dolce & Gabbana heels.
I love it!
I love Katie Holmes ever since her Dawson's Creek days. And I still love her up to now. I think she's even more slimmer now compared to her DC days. I don't think she'd had a day in her life where she has to read apidextra reviews. Lucky gal!
Now, back to browsing photos again.
Happy Saturday!

For comfortable rest
Friday, it's a slow day for me today. I feel like I just want to lounge in bed or in a lounger all day.
But I don't want to be accused of being lazy. So instead, I surfed for the most comfortable-looking lounger and beds I could find online. And these are what I got. Photos from thisnext.com
What do you think?

ZARA: Man May Lookbook
Okay, here's the Man Lookbook for May.
Hmmm..
Muy guapo! I love the whole white ensemble. This outfit makes me think of crusing somewhere in the Mediterranean Ocean in our private yatch. LOL!
Blue and white. In my opinion, a great color combo for guys. I am just not sure about that hanky hanging by the pocket.
So masculine.
I think this look is best suited for a girl. But then, what do I know about fashion? He looks good though.

ZARA: Woman May Lookbook
Here's the Zara Woman Lookbook for May. I think I will make it a monthly posting if Zara continues to post this in their facebook account.
I love going through their pictures and of course their dresses are beautiful. I am loving this May lookbook. It's relaxed yet still chic and stylish.
Isn't the gold mini just absolutely chic?
I could wear this going to a management jobs interview paired with a slacks or a nice skirt. Or I could wear it just like the picture above for lounging in a hotel coffeeshop. I only wish I have small thighs.
I love this dress. I could wear it to the beach.
I just took a peek at Man Lookbook for May and it's also mostly blue and white.
I will post it in a bit.

Blabbing
Okay, let me just blab a little here today. I think I am PMS-ing. Whatever. But I was feeling so down yesterday. Just one of those days.
Plus I had too much on my shoulders the previous weeks. I was busy with a lot of things. It was just too much.
Now, to relieve me of stress I have two choices usually: eat or shop. Both detrimental to myself. LOL!
So instead I dream about places I want to go.
We're planning to visit Paris early November. Now, I want to add London. Maybe we can take a train and stay there for a couple of days. We only have 8 days total of travel time so it sure is a full-packed trip.
If only we could travel now, that would be super. Sigh. The life of a poor. LOL!
I still have plenty to research; airfare, visas, hotels, areas to stay, places to visit, weather, etc, etc.
Okay, I should work now. That would take away the stress or the depression or whatever.
Back to regular programming on my next posts. Promise!
Ciao for now.

Water Therapy
I was talking with my friends on twitter about our weight and how we really want to lose some. A friend said she's going to do detox. And I asked her to share what it is. She emailed it to me and I want to share it here. Full text from her email. I am not sure where she got it but with google for sure, it is easy to find out. Here it is:

DRINK WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH
It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven a its value. We publish below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:
Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases.
METHOD OF TREATMENT
1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water
2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minutes
3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.
4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours
5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.
6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy a healthy life.
The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/reduce main diseases:
1. High Blood Pressure - 30 days
2. Gastric - 10 days
3. Diabetes - 30 days
4. Constipation - 10 days
5. Cancer - 180 days
6. TB - 90 days
7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards - daily.
This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.
It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life.
~~~
It sounds great, isn't it? I am just not sure if I could really drink 4 glasses of water right after I wake up. Even with practice or over time I am still not sure I could do it.
This I am sure I could do easily - drink one glass of water after I wake up. I have been doing that actually ever since. I will try to drink two glasses if I could. I also don't want to drink too much as I have read from a news that too much water can kill. Scary!
