It's The Thought That Counts

I did not know we could find that specific string here in Phnom Penh! When we were in Manila, we looked everywhere but we could not find one. Either we were not looking hard enough or we were looking in the wrong places!

Now that we are no longer looking, we find ourselves staring at it! Oh, the irony of life and life's events.

Hubby wanted one because he was planning on giving it as a gift to his musician friend. But what hubby does not know (which he only found later) is that his friend already have a lot of it given as gifts as well.

We treated hubby's friend to a nice resto which the friend truly appreciated.

Moral of the story: Simple things, given or offered heartily mean more than the expensive but thoughtless gifts.

Mask-ful Day

It's 5am. I am in front of my macbook. My husband is exercising while watching TV.

Suddenly, I heard a shout/yell. I thought he fell down or something. I went to check. It turned out he saw an athlete or some sports person being carried on a stretcher with a mask on his face. I asked what kind of mask? He said cpap masks.

Not having an idea what he said, I went to google it. I did not want him to know I didn't know what he was talking about!

This is what my husband was talking about.

This is a cpap mask for her. I got the picture from The CPAP Shop.

Without me knowing it, I was already browsing for a mask. I was being carried away with the wide variety offered at The CPAP Shop!

Another thing I liked about this store is that aside from the wide variety of masks, they do have customer reviews and star ratings attached to every single mask for sale.

I think that is very important considering the daunting task of choosing among the many offered. For a first time shopper, this one is definitely very helpful.

I just love the internet and the many things it has to offer. Don't you?

Looking for a black messenger bag

I am looking for a black messenger bag that is within my budget. It doesn't need to have rs7000mt shock absorber, LOL, I only want it to be nice and for it to last for a year at least. The longer, the better.

My budget is below P5,000 ($120). If I can find a bag that's P1,000 ($30), I would be very very happy. But right now, the bags that I like are above 1k. At least they are not above 5k. LOL!

These bags are all from ZARA.

I saw some messenger bags from Mango, too. They're cheaper but I don't want a sling with metals. I want a simple leather or even a fake leather sling.

But beggars can't be choosers, right? LOL!

I am still hoping I can find the right one before we fly back to Cambodia.

Practice

Last week, we spent most of our time window shopping for home furnishing. We looked at different stores for sofas, dining sets, TV racks, bed frame and mattress, pillows, body pillows, sheets, electronics like flat TV, refrigerator, etc, etc.

It was fun but it was also a test of restraint on my part. I needed to make my wants meet with my budget. Fortunately, I did not have to really put it in practice as we did not go thru with furnishing our condo because we found a tenant instead.

I wouldn't say it was all a waste of time. Instead it a was a needed practice so when we finally decide to go thru with renovating and furnishing our condo, we already have an idea what to do or where to buy the things we need.

Blue Dresses

The other day, I bought a couple of dresses from Mango. I actually only wanted to buy one but I could not decide which one to buy. It was such a hard decision! LOL!

My husband cried "For the love of me, don't compare annuities! Just buy both dresses and be done with the shopping!"

Hahaha!!! I couldn't stop laughing that night.

Anyway, here're what I bought.

Loose-fit pleated Dress

Denim Dress

Both are in the shades of blue because I am loving blue at the moment. I just hope I won't gain a lot of weight so I could still fit in them after they are washed. I had the nerve to buy them in extra small size. LOL!
